$3.6 million for Deledio Reserve dream to become a reality

The Dunolly community is set to benefit with $3.6 million committed to get the Deledio Park precinct upgrades underway under a re-elected Coalition Government.

Nationals Member for Mallee, Anne Webster, announced the funding at Dunolly Recreation Reserve on Tuesday with members of the local sporting community and Central Goldfields Shire Council representatives.

Dr Webster said the upgrade will deliver a new multi-purpose sporting and community facility.

“After working with the Dunolly Community on this project and fighting hard behind the scenes to make this dream a reality, I am thrilled to be able to announce that under a re-elected Coalition Government, these upgrades will be taking place,” Dr Webster said.

“I want to congratulate the local community on their strong local advocacy that will see a fantastic facility built right here in Dunolly.

“The multi-purpose facility will be enjoyed by a wide range of user groups including local schooling groups, emergency services, community groups and of course sporting clubs.

“Sport is the beating heart of regional towns. In my recent visit here earlier this month, I was able to see firsthand how this precinct brings the community together and is a vibrant social hub in Dunolly.

“From the little ones to the seniors and their families, braving the freezing cold in winter and the dry heat in summer, these upgrades will benefit everyone.

“Only the Coalition can be relied on to champion the needs and the vision of regional communities.”
