The Australian Agriculture Visa

I have been fighting in Canberra for an Agricultural Visa to help solve the workforce crisis for our growers.

The Nationals in government have delivered this, with Vietnam recently signing a memorandum of understanding with the federal government.

This is a demand driven visa that will allow skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers from participating countries.

On 26 April 2022, Labor announced they will scrap the Agriculture Visa if elected to government.

This is devastating news for growers and the regions and shows a blatant disregard for the regions and the agriculture sector. By killing the Agriculture Visa, the Labor Party has also delivered a diplomatic insult to our strategic regional partner Vietnam who have already signed a memorandum of understanding with Australia
